NexusFile - is a feature-rich file manager that puts a special emphasis on a streamlined interface with an attractive appearance. It targets all users who want to try something different compared to Windows Explorer, for instance.
The main application window is divided into two panels for seamlessly exploring files on the hard drive, similar to Total Commander.
You can use the functional keys to rename files, copy or move them to another location, refresh data, apply advanced renaming options (e.g. insert location, numbering, extension), create a new folder, and send selected items to the Recycle Bin.
NexusFile includes a context menu of its own, providing you with useful options such as changing file time and attributes, creating archives (ZIP, RAR, 7Z, ALZ, or ARJ format with or without password protection), and performing automatic extraction jobs. It is also possible to switch to the classic Explorer right-click menu.
Other options of NexusFile enable users to add or edit comments, calculate SHA1, MD5 or CRC checksums, create a favorites list, use an advanced selection tool with file names and/or formats or select all items with the same name or extension, establish a connection via FTP, split or join files, and many more.
NexusFile uses low-to-moderate memory and low CPU. It has a good response time and smoothly integrates into newer operating systems. No errors were shown in our tests, and the program did not hang or crash. All in all, NexusFile offers comprehensive options for performing various file operations, backed up by an appealing interface.
